FCI Recruitment 2012-13 for 6545 Assistant Grade III vacancies

Food Corporation of India has published its latest combined recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Grade III in different categories such as General, Depot, Accounts and Technical cadres. This job opportunity is announced as part of FCI Recruitment 2013 for a total of 6545 vacancies available across five zones. Accordingly, applications are invited from Indian nationals who fulfill all the necessary eligibility criteria to come forward and apply online through the dedicated registrations portal made available by Staff Selection Commission. In this regard, it can be also mentioned that SSC will be conducting this FCI Recruitment 2012-13 on behalf of Food Corporation of India. The selected candidates will not be considered as Central Government Civilian Employees and as such they will also not be able to avail relaxation of age which is otherwise admissible.

FCI Recruitment 2012-13 for 6545 vacancies - Eligibility Criteria

  • AG-III General: Candidates should be a graduate and must be proficient is operating computer. Degree in this respect may be from any streams of study but from a recognized university.
  • AG-III Accounts: This post is intended for candidates belonging to Commerce background in graduation level. Those having a B.Com. degree with knowledge of computer may apply.
  • AG-III Technical: Candidates who are having B.Sc degree in either Zoology, Botany, Food Science, Bio-Technology, Microbiology, Bio-Chemistry or Agriculture may apply. B.Tech or B.E. degree holders in the disciplines of Food Science, Food Science & Technology, Bio Technology or Agricultural Engineering are also eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Grade III in Technical cadre. Having proficiency in computer usage is also a mandatory requirement.
  • AG-III Depot: The prescribed criteria for this post is same as that of the General category.

FCI Assistant Grade III Recruitment 2013 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

As part of the selection process, SSC would be conducting a written examination consisting of two papers each carrying 200 marks. It will be of objective type. There are three papers i.e. Paper I, II & III where Paper III will have questions of degree level whereas the questions in Paper I & II will be of Higher Secondary level. Those applying in General, Accounts and Depot category will have to appear in the first two paper whereas the applicants of Technical cadre will have to appear in Paper I & III.

SSC will also conduct a Computer Proficiency Test and candidates needs to qualify in it to be eligible for selection. On qualifying in the CPT, the performance of the candidates in the written examination (both papers) will be taken into account for final selection. Posting of candidates in specific zones will be determined by the options preferred by the candidate and availability of posts in that zone.

FCI AG-III Recruitment 2013 Important Dates and Schedule

The notification provided with regards to this Recruitment in FCI 2012-13 has mentioned the dates for various phase of the recruitment process. For instance, the closing date to apply is 21st September 2012 which is however extended to 28th September 2012 for candidates applying from certain far flung areas as listed in the notification. The written examination of Paper I is scheduled to be held on 11th November 2012 while that of the Paper II & III will be conducted tentatively on 6th January 2013.
