RRB Recruitment 2012 is again announced on the month of May through a centralized employment notice for a total vacancy of around 6829 which are to be offered against 8 different job positions. These posts are available in different numbers under the various Railway Recruitment Boards that are further distributed category-wise. The online/offline registration process as per the above notification begins from 12-05-2012 to 11-06-2012 till 5:30 PM and all interested candidates will be able to apply as per their preferred and available mode of submission. In terms of the eligibility requirements, the applicant must first meet the age limit criteria which is defined as 18-33 years as on 1st July 2012. Age relaxation is offered for some categories and a specific lower and upper date of birth is also set for all such categories. Each of these post has different requirements for educational qualification some of which includes a degree from a recognized University or equivalent and Diploma in Rail Transport & Management from IRT, Transport Economics etc.
Apply RRB Recruitment 2012 - Application Forms & Fee Payment MethodFor those willing to apply will be charged Rs.60/- as non-refundable examination fee if they belong to Unreserved/OBC male candidates while the rest of the categories are exempted. The fee applicable is prescribed for each individual application only and has to be paid separately if the candidate applies for more than a single job position. One can pay this fee through a crossed DD or IPO and the detailed instruction regarding the same can be seen from the centralized employment notice.
Some Railway Recruitment Boards have the provision to accept applications online and candidates should check for themselves if the RRB in their preferred region has such a facility or not. If online submission is not available, the applicants can download the RRB Recruitment 2012 Application Forms online from its website and fillup all details with blue/black ball point pen. A recent passport size photo of the dimension 3.5 x 3.5cm should be pasted in the appropriate space as available in the form.
RRB Recruitment May 2012 - Selection Procedures & Written ExaminationsA Preliminary exam will be conducted in common for all the job positions and the questions will be presented in English, Hindi, Urdu and regional languages as applicable for each RRBs. On qualifying in the preliminary, the candidate will have to appear in the Mains exam (2nd stage). This will be followed by a skill test in typewriting which is meant for the posts in Sl.No. 5 & 6 above and an Aptitude Test which is applicable for posts in Sl.No.7 & 8 above. In case of written examinations, negative markings will be there and 1/3rd of the allotted marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The selection will be based on merit and candidates will be shortlisted to be called for document verification.
